Uus S6/S7 tulemas (2018)
Arvatakse, et uus tuleb 3.0 V6 mootori ja kaheksase tiptronicuga.

Audi likely to drop V8 engine in favour of a V6 - due in early 2018
An all-new Audi A6 is just around the corner and to go with the new executive saloon Audi will be launching a new performance orientated S6. The new
S6 will rival the Mercedes-AMG E43 here in the UK, and it's now been spied testing on the Nurburgring.
Unfortunately, if you were a fan of the current S6’s turbocharged 4-litre V8 engine, you might be disappointed to learn the new model will likely drop
it in favour of the smaller turbocharged 3-litre V6 from the S4 and S5. Power will doubtless rise from the S4’s 349bhp to somewhere closer to the
current S6’s 444bhp, and it will be sent through an 8-speed auto gearbox and Audi’s trademark quattro all-wheel drive.
The upshot of losing its sonorous V8 is that the new S6 is also expected to drop some weight thanks to the downsized engine and the utilisation of the
same aluminium-intensive MLB evo platform that underpins most of the Audi range. Audi’s clever torque vectoring Sport differential will also likely be
part of the S6’s dynamic repertoire.
Drawing plenty of design inspiration from the Prologue concept of a few years ago, the new A6 will inherit a more muscular design, with prominent
shoulders over the front and rear wheels. The S6 will build on the standard car's design with trademark quad exhausts, silver mirror caps and more
aggressive bumpers.
Inside, Audi’s next generation MMI infotainment system will also feature, with Audi’s first application of a touch-screen interface. Designed in
conjunction with the new MMI system, the dash will take on a completely different aesthetic to the current car. We expect the quality and materials to
be top notch in typical Audi fashion too.
Due to land early 2018, the new S6 may lack the romance of its predecessors and their large capacity V8 engines, but will definitely become a more
attractive ownership proposition in the process.

2018 Audi S7 Spied
Testing in the Heat of Southern Europe
The next-generation Audi A7’s arrival is near and Audi engineers were recently spotted testing the S7 performance variant in the heat of Southern
Europe.
The next-gen A7 will ride on an updated version of Audi’s MLB Evo platform, which is said to be around 220 lbs lighter than the current A7. Powering
the hot S7 will likely be the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that recently debuted in the Porsche Panamera 4S, but we’re willing to bet it will
have more power on tap than the 430 horsepower it makes in the Porsche. VW Group’s ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission will probably be
employed and it goes without saying that all-wheel drive will be standard.

Kuna essi V8't originaalväljalaskega eriti ei kuule nagunii (ja ongi mõnus=), siis otseselt seda V8't ei tasu taga nutta, kui V6'st võetakse sama
palju või rohkem jõudu välja.

Tänaseks siis S6/S7 C8 kere peal olemas ja kõikidele soovijatele poes riiulil saadaval. Paistab, et spekulatsioonid ja oletused läksid põõsastesse ja
mõlema masina kapotialustesse sattus hoopis V6 diisel. Ameerika ja Asia turul on sama kompott soetatav V6 bensukana - 2.9TFSI (RS4-l sama mootor). V8
fännidele on tegemist kindlasti halva uudisega.
Uut S6/S7-t liigutab siis edasi 3.0 BiTDi, millel üks klassikaline kaalikas ja teine elektriline puhur. Kompott pakub siis 257kW ja 700Nm(2500rpm)
väänet. Mootori pöörded teeb ratastele sobivaks ZF8HP. S-i helipildi eest hoolitseb Audi Motor sound system. Pole väga paha.
Tagaosast leiab neli läikivat toru, millel kahjuks punnid kenasti ees .
Reaalsed torud 4tk on stange taga ja alla pööratud. Iseenesest väga vahet pole, kuhu need torud suunduvad, kuid S-mudelitel võiksid ikka reaalsed
väljalasked olla.

Diisli toppimine "S" mudelile on minu arvates umbes sama, nagu S6-e märkide panek 3.0 TDI-le. Oh wait...
Aga ega jah, sisepõlemismootoriga autode hiilgeaeg on möödas, nüüd edasi läheb ainult sitemaks...
