Algselt postitas: Maku Selline postitus jäi silma: As a reference point most I5 ported heads I've come across in the market place will flow around 175-185cfm@28" on stock sized valves. I've seen 190-195cfm@28" peak figures on oversized valves with more area under the curve. Over sized valves with welded up and reprofiled exhaust ports have yielded 200-204cfm@28" peak figures with again more area under the lift curve. So assuming that the posted flow figures are at 28" and the transitions are nice from head into the initial runner entry then you will be hard pushed to max out this exhaust mani hence my personal interest. As for my personal opinion of cast vs tubular (not necessarily correct and open to other opinions of course) The theoretical advantage of a tubular is that it will offer a more consistent delivery of air throughout a revolution of the engine giving smoother spool up low down and reduced EGT's at the top end due to a reduction in turbulence as the gases meet at the collector. In the same token the cast manifold has a greater ability to retain heat and will offer higher gas speeds again improving spool up, it's downfall being at the very top end of a high hp motor (700+) where too much heat retention can be detrimental to EGT's. So unless going full on top end race motor it's much of a muchness other than that the cast is theoretically much stronger and longer lasting for road use. Minu varasem postitus: Kollektor_____________1___2___3__4___5_ AAN________________131 131 178 135 144 - erinevus 47 ADU________________152 134 153 149 163 - erinevus 29 ADU high flow replica__187 181 229 180 204 - erinevus 49 SQ_________________176 147 169 174 205 - erinevus 58 SQ replica___________199 212 205 217 203 - erinevus 18 EFI torukolle_________224 232 225 232 217 - erinevus 15 034/WAGNER RS2 AND SPORT QUATTRO CAST REPLICA MANIFOLDS 034 Exhaust Manifold flow results
